出雲 – KATO 285系0番台/3000番台 Sunrise Express

早段時間見一眾KOL都去搶飛乘搭東京至出雲的285系Sunrise Express,由於寢台特急買少見少的緣故,即使未曾試搭這列雙層列車,見KATO重出n scale列車模型也忍不住先買為快。

「サンライズエクスプレス」於1998年3月開始運營,主要行駛於東京至岡山間,由「サンライズ出雲」(東京-出雲市)和「サンライズ瀬戸」(東京-高松)兩列7節編組組合而成,總長14節車廂。這款臥鋪列車提供單人、雙人、開放式臥鋪供旅客選擇,另外有有限公共浴室可供搶飛使用。

KATO 10-1564/65 285系「サンライズエクスプレス」N比例鐵路模型以2013年後增設雙臂式平板集電器的更新版本為藍本,分為JR西日本0番台和JR東海3000番台兩種版本。模型再現了車身標誌、車側門踏板和車頂設備等細節2特色包括可切換的頭尾燈,其中前燈模擬了實車的遠光燈(暖白色)和霧燈(黃色)。模型採用密連器,並附帶目的地顯示貼紙等配件。

由於雙層車廂設計導致無法使用鉄道模型灯具製作所(鉄製所)的燈條,所以需要用回KATO原裝版本(11-221),但因為車廂內容較單調,想效果更好的話相信要加裝副廠的車廂貼紙,至於車頭的連接口(28-268)因為缺貨暫時未能成事。或因最近多位KOL都曾介紹的緣故,導致Sunrise Express在香港的人氣急升,一車難求。

Recently, many influencers have been rushing to ride the 285 Series Sunrise Express from Tokyo to Izumo. Due to the increasing rarity of sleeper express trains, even without trying this double-decker train myself, I couldn’t resist quickly buying KATO’s re-released N scale train model.

The “Sunrise Express” began operations in March 1998, primarily running between Tokyo and Okayama. It combines two 7-car formations: the “Sunrise Izumo” (Tokyo-Izumoshi) and the “Sunrise Seto” (Tokyo-Takamatsu), totaling 14 cars. This sleeper train offers single, double, and open-plan berths for passengers to choose from, along with limited public bath facilities available on a first-come, first-served basis.

KATO’s 10-1564/65 285 Series “Sunrise Express” N scale railway model is based on the updated version with dual-arm pantographs added after 2013. It comes in two versions: JR West’s 0 series and JR Central’s 3000 series. The model accurately reproduces details such as body markings, side door steps, and roof equipment. Features include switchable head and tail lights, with the headlights simulating the actual train’s high beams (warm white) and fog lights (yellow). The model uses close couplers and comes with destination display stickers and other accessories.

Due to the double-decker design, HKTILC’s light bars cannot be used, so the original KATO version (11-221) is necessary. However, since the interior is relatively simple, adding aftermarket cabin stickers might improve the effect. As for the front connection port (28-268), it’s currently out of stock and unavailable. Perhaps due to recent coverage by several influencers, the popularity of the Sunrise Express has surged in Hong Kong, making it difficult to acquire.
