不妥協 – POP RACE McLaren F1
Gordon Murray以「不妥協的終極駕駛機器」為設計理念,以F1賽車技術為基礎,歷時近四年開發,終於在1992年發表McLaren F1。

F1搭載由BMW M部門特別打造的6.1升V12自然吸氣引擎,輸出627匹馬力和649Nm扭力,配合六速棍波,0-100km/h加速僅需3.2秒,極速達到386.7km/h,直到2005年才被Bugatti Veyron超越。「1+2」中央駕駛座設計,讓駕駛者坐在車輛正中央位置,提供如同F1賽車般的駕駛視野。F1大量採用碳纖維物料,車重僅1,140公斤,創造了極佳的功率重量比。其他創新包括黃金箔引擎艙隔熱和主動空氣動力學設計。McLaren F1全球限量生產106輛,原售價約為81萬英鎊,如今,完好的F1在拍賣市場上價格已超過2,000萬美元。1995年,McLaren F1 GTR版本首次參賽即贏得利曼24小時耐力賽冠軍,奠定了McLaren在超跑領域的傳奇地位。
POP RACE今次繼續不惜工本造車,重點莫過於為後方的活動引擎蓋設計,打開後清晰看見引擎、排氣喉等,而駕駛艙亦有上色,能看到波棍子及不同按鈕。至於前膠燈罩、尾膠燈均屬配菜。單看外表,看不出是這樣一回事,憑造工說話,遠勝千言萬語。



Uncompromising — POP RACE McLaren F1
Gordon Murray designed the McLaren F1 with a single philosophy: to create “the ultimate driver’s car without compromise.” Using Formula 1 technology as its foundation and after nearly four years of development, McLaren finally unveiled the F1 in 1992.

The McLaren F1 is powered by a specially developed 6.1-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine built by BMW’s M division, producing 627 horsepower and 649Nm of torque. Paired with a six-speed manual transmission, it accelerates from 0-100km/h in just 3.2 seconds and reached a top speed of 386.7km/h—a production car record that stood until the Bugatti Veyron surpassed it in 2005. The F1’s revolutionary “1+2” seating arrangement places the driver in the center of the vehicle, offering a Formula 1-like driving perspective. Extensive use of carbon fiber keeps the weight to just 1,140kg, creating an exceptional power-to-weight ratio. Other innovations include gold foil for engine bay heat insulation and active aerodynamics. With global production limited to just 106 units and an original price of £810,000, well-preserved examples now fetch over $20 million at auction. In 1995, the McLaren F1 GTR variant won the 24 Hours of Le Mans on its first attempt, cementing McLaren’s legendary status in the supercar world.
POP RACE has once again spared no expense in creating this miniature masterpiece. The highlight is undoubtedly the functioning engine cover, which opens to reveal a detailed engine and intake system. The cockpit is equally impressive, with visible gear lever and various buttons faithfully reproduced. The transparent headlight and taillight covers add further refinement to the model. While these details might not be immediately apparent from a casual glance, the exceptional craftsmanship speaks for itself, far more effectively than words could describe.
