民用悍馬的絕唱 — 596 Hummer H1
儘管它擁有 Humvee 的基因,外觀亦有七、八成相似,但 Hummer H1 並非純粹軍車,而是經過「健身」後的民用越野車。

H1 是美軍 M998 Humvee 的民用版本,於 1992 年正式面世。它通常搭載 6.2L 至 6.6L V8 柴油引擎,配備標誌性的超寬車身、門式車橋(Portal Axles)以及中央輪胎充放氣系統 (CTIS),擁有與軍車極為接近的通過性與涉水能力。可惜受制於高油耗及日益嚴苛的排放法規,H1 於 2006 年正式停產,全球總產量僅約 11,818 台。
印象中香港大約只有 3 至 4 部 H1,以往《Top Gear》亦曾做過專題,時裝品牌 Bauhaus 亦曾收藏一部黃色車身的,十分經典。這次品牌「596」推出的 1/64 Hummer H1 跟其他廠商不同,比例準確且份量十足。驚喜的是頭冚(引擎蓋)可以向前翻開,展示內裡的引擎結構;車身鋼門亦以浮雕方式呈現,並非單靠移印。相對於後來「馴服」過的 H3,H1 仍然保持原汁原味的硬派風格,相當難得,只可惜真車停產得太早。



Civilian Hummer – The 596 Hummer H1
It shares the Humvee’s DNA and certainly looks the part, but the Hummer H1 isn’t a military vehicle; think of it as an off-roader that has hit the gym.

The H1 is the civilian iteration of the US Military’s M998 Humvee, officially launched in 1992. Typically powered by a 6.2L to 6.6L V8 diesel engine, it features the iconic ultra-wide stance, portal axles, and a Central Tire Inflation System (CTIS), offering off-road capabilities and wading depths nearly identical to its military counterpart. However, plagued by high fuel consumption and increasingly strict emission regulations, the H1 was discontinued in 2006, with a total global production of only about 11,818 units.
I recall there being only 3 or 4 registered H1s in Hong Kong. Top Gear featured them back in the day, and the fashion brand Bauhaus famously had a classic yellow one on display. This 1/64 release by “596” stands out from other manufacturers; the proportions are spot-on, and it feels substantial in the hand. Surprisingly, the hood tilts forward to reveal a detailed engine bay, and the steel doors feature actual embossed tooling rather than flat printing. Compared to the tamed H3, the H1 retains that raw, original flavor. It is a rare treat in this scale, though it is a shame the real truck was discontinued so soon.
