洪嘉豪 – POP RACE Honda Civic Type R FL5
在《叱咤樂壇流行榜頒獎典禮2024》中，洪嘉豪《黑玻璃》奪得《叱咤十大》中的第七位，Kaho上台後特別鳴謝本田Civic Type R FL5，這個時候來介紹POP RACE兩台不同的FL5，合適不過。
本田第六代Civic Type R (FL5)於2022年推出，被外界視為最後一款純汽油引擎的Type R車型。這款性能車款回歸日本製造(引擎在美國組裝後運回日本)，車身尺寸較上代FK8更大，軸距加長35mm至2,735mm，整車重量為1,430kg。
FL5搭載經過重新調校的K20C-4型2.0升直列四缸VTEC Turbo引擎，最大馬力達330ps/6,500rpm，扭力提升至42.8kgm，配合6前速棍波。，0-100km/h加速時間為5.4秒。懸掛系統提供Comfort、Sport、+R及新增的Individual自訂模式，配備19吋鋁圈搭配Michelin PS4S性能輪胎。香港當時行貨定價$679,880，由於全球市場反應熱烈，日本更出現長達4年的交車期，各主要市場配額均已售罄。
POP RACE兩款FL5，一款是黃色配碳纖黑冚，另一款是Shell V-Power拉花。黃色車身油漆控制合格，未有太厚油導致一舊舊的情況出現，但賣相當然是橙白黃拉花的Shell版更出色，兩部車的頭冚均可打開，內藏一副紅色K20C-4機器，符合現時POP RACE開得盡開的設計風格，頭尾膠燈合預期，為遷就開冚設計，軚盤連錶板以另一口螺絲裝在前車殼上，車櫳只剩下兩張橙色桶椅及後座。
洪嘉豪在《黑玻璃》MV中在日本駕駛FL5自肥，又兩度將FL5帶到演唱會舞台上，但他現時的座駕卻為豐田Corolla Hybrid，他較早時接受《地板油》訪問時透露由寶馬、本田CRZ再換上現時豐田車款，他鍾意JDM，並希望讓大眾接受這種文化。到底他會否再作另一首車歌自肥呢？

POP RACE Honda Civic Type R FL5 – Inspired by Hung Kaho’s “Tinted Windows”
At the Ultimate Song Chart Awards 2024, Hung Kaho’s “Tinted Windows” ranked seventh in the Top 10 Cantopop songs. When Kaho took the stage, he specifically thanked the Honda Civic Type R FL5, making this the perfect time to review POP RACE’s two different FL5 model variants.
The sixth-generation Honda Civic Type R (FL5), launched in 2022, is widely considered to be the last pure gasoline-powered Type R model. This performance vehicle returns to Japanese manufacturing (with engines assembled in the US before being shipped back to Japan). The body dimensions are larger than its predecessor FK8, with a 35mm longer wheelbase reaching 2,735mm, and a total vehicle weight of 1,430kg.
The FL5 is equipped with a retuned K20C-4 2.0-liter inline-four VTEC Turbo engine, producing maximum power of 330ps at 6,500rpm and increased torque of 42.8kgm, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. It achieves 0-100km/h acceleration in 5.4 seconds. The suspension system offers Comfort, Sport, +R, and the newly added Individual custom modes, featuring 19-inch alloy wheels with Michelin PS4S performance tires. Hong Kong’s official retail price was set at HK$679,880, but due to overwhelming global demand, Japan saw delivery times extend to 4 years, with quotas in all major markets sold out.
POP RACE offers two FL5 variants: one in yellow with a carbon fiber hood, and another featuring Shell V-Power livery. The yellow body paint quality is satisfactory, avoiding thick paint application that could cause lumpy surfaces. However, the orange-white-yellow Shell version offers more striking aesthetics. Both models feature opening hoods revealing red K20C-4 engines, following POP RACE’s current detailed design philosophy. The plastic lights meet expectations, and to accommodate the opening hood design, the steering wheel and dashboard are mounted to the front shell with separate screws, while the interior features just two orange bucket seats and rear seating.
In the “Tinted Windows” music video, Hung Kaho drives an FL5 in Japan and has brought the FL5 to his concert stage twice. However, his current personal vehicle is a Toyota Corolla Hybrid. In an earlier interview with “Flat Out,” he revealed his progression from BMW to Honda CRZ before switching to his current Toyota, expressing his love for JDM culture and his desire to promote its appreciation among the general public.
