Kuromi – Tarmac Works x Uno Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II

Hayato Kazami vs Kuromi: An Anime Showdown
Following last year’s Hello Kitty livery at the Guia Circuit, Tarmac Works is doubling down this year. In partnership with Uno Racing, they’re entering the 71st Macau Grand Prix FIA GT World Cup with two specially themed Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II race cars, featuring Kuromi and Cyber Formula liveries, driven by local racer Adderly Fong and mainland Chinese driver James Yu respectively. Beyond the race itself, fans should expect exclusive model cars and merchandise – better queue up early in Macau!

Car #10, piloted by Hong Kong’s Adderly Fong, showcases Sanrio’s Kuromi character, bringing this lovably rebellious character to life on the Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II. As Hong Kong’s only F1 test driver with an FIA Super License, this marks Fong’s fifth appearance with Uno Racing Team in Macau. Car #30, driven by 23-year-old Chinese racer James Yu, pays homage to the classic 1991 anime Cyber Formula, which depicted a futuristic racing world. While this is Yu’s Macau debut, he brings substantial experience as an Audi Sport Asia Junior driver in various GT championships.

Notably, this year marks Tarmac Works’ 10th anniversary. The company has produced over three million die-cast models and pioneered the first automotive trading card brand, Tarmac Cards, setting new standards in Hong Kong’s collector community.

Will this year see the competition between model car brands extend from the sidelines to the track itself? We’ll have to wait and see.
