ENG Version

Beyblade X CX-13

Beyblade X

H(Bullet Griffon

(Bahamut Blitz BK1-50I

(Wide Xtreme Stadium

The Complete Beyblade X Guide 2026: Everything You Need to Know — From the Fourth Generation Explained to UX-19 Bullet Griffon & CX-13 Bahamut Blitz

Beyblade X

What Is Beyblade X — And Why Is Everyone Suddenly Obsessed?

If you’ve noticed grown adults passionately debating spinning tops on social media, clearing toy store shelves, or paying premium prices for a piece of plastic and metal, welcome to the Beyblade X phenomenon. This isn’t just nostalgia — it’s a full-blown global revival, and it shows no signs of slowing down in 2026.

Beyblade is a competitive spinning top game developed by Japanese toy company Takara Tomy, first launched in 1999. Players experience fast-paced, spinning top battle action, launching their tops into fierce clashes against opponents’ tops to score points — and the first player to score 4 points wins. That core loop — assemble, launch, dominate — has proven irresistible across generations. The spark that reignited the current wave? A now-legendary social media post from a Taiwanese adult who, humiliated by a younger relative during battle, publicly requested “the three strongest, most overpowering Beyblades available — budget no object.” The post went viral, dragging millions of lapsed fans back into the hobby overnight.

Four Generations: How Did We Get Here?

Since 1999, Beyblade has gone through four distinct eras of evolution. The original generation — often called the “Classic” or “Plastic” generation — established the fundamentals of blade-on-blade combat. The second generation, Metal Fight (also known as Metal Fusion), introduced heavier die-cast metal components that dramatically increased the weight and impact energy of every collision. The third generation, Burst, introduced a game-changing mechanic: tops could now physically explode apart under sufficient force, creating a new winning condition and an entirely new layer of tension in every match.

Then came the fourth generation — and the one that matters most right now.

What Makes BEYBLADE X (4th Generation) Different?

BEYBLADE X is widely described as the fastest Beyblade generation ever made, and the reason comes down to one core mechanic: the X-Dash (Xtreme Dash) system. The stadium features the X-Celerator Gear System to level up your game. When the gear of Beyblade X tops engages the stadium’s X-Celerator Rail, it can super-accelerate the tops around the arena for crushing collisions and epic bursts. In practical terms, this means a top that is already moving at speed can suddenly rocket to an entirely different velocity mid-battle the moment its gear connects with the stadium rail — making comebacks, reversals, and surprise knockouts not just possible but routine.

The Xtreme Beystadium and Beyblade X tops feature the X-Celerator Gear System to level up your game and prove it in battle — when the gear of the top engages the stadium’s X-Celerator Rail, it can super-accelerate into an Xtreme Dash rocketing it around the arena for crushing collisions.

On top of that, BEYBLADE X retains the Burst finish mechanic from the third generation while introducing a new highest-value win condition: the Xtreme Finish, where a top is knocked out through the stadium’s dedicated Xtreme Zone at full X-Dash velocity. Every battle now has multiple possible endings, each with different point values, making strategy far more layered than simply “spin fast and hit hard.”

Understanding the Parts: Blade, Ratchet & Bit

Every BEYBLADE X top is built from three interchangeable components, and understanding them is the key to building competitive combinations.

The Blade is the outermost layer and the primary contact surface during battle. Its shape, weight distribution, and number of attack points determine whether a top behaves aggressively, defensively, or somewhere in between. The Ratchet sits in the middle and controls the height and weight balance of the overall top — this affects how the Blade makes contact with opponents at different angles. The Bit is the tip that touches the stadium floor, governing movement patterns: a flat Bit moves erratically and aggressively; a pointed or tapered Bit tends to stay centred and spin longer.

Players can launch right into battle or reconfigure the interchangeable blade, ratchet, and bit of a starter pack with those of other Beyblade X tops to build their perfect top. This modular system is what makes Beyblade X endlessly replayable — there are thousands of possible combinations, and the competitive meta is constantly shifting as players discover new synergies.

The Four Types and Their Triangle

BEYBLADE X tops fall into four primary categories. Attack types prioritise raw striking power and aim to knock opponents out of the stadium or burst them through force. Stamina (Endurance) types are built to outlast opponents by spinning longer under any conditions. Defense types absorb hits and resist knockouts. Balance types blend attributes from multiple categories, offering versatility at the cost of peak specialisation.

Critically, these types exist in a triangle of strengths and weaknesses: Attack counters Stamina, Stamina counters Defense, and Defense counters Attack. Building a winning strategy — especially in the popular 3-on-3 format — requires understanding not just what your tops can do, but what your opponent is likely to bring. The Scythe Incendio 4-60T is an example of a Balance Type top where the slender axis of the tapered bit balances early attack power with endurance.

Beyond the standard BX product line, two sub-lines have become increasingly prominent. The UX (Unique Line) series features tops with unusual integrated mechanics that blur the lines between type categories, while the CX (Custom Line / Expand Blade) series offers tops with multi-component blades that allow deeper customisation of weight distribution and attack vectors.

Featured Product: UX-19 Bullet Griffon H — The Blade That Splits in Two

This is one of the two tops we received from HKTOYCAR for hands-on testing, and it’s arguably the most talked-about release of 2026.

UX-19 is part of the Beyblade X Unique Line / Expand Blade (Infinity) system, manufactured by Takara Tomy, classified as a Balance type with right-spin, and released in Japan on April 25th, 2026. In Western markets, it is sold under the name “Rocket Griffon H” as part of Hasbro’s UX Infinity line.

The standout feature is its Ratchet-Integrated Blade — a design that eliminates the traditional separate ratchet component and builds it directly into the blade itself. The blade consists of two halves: an upper “Bullet” (Rocket) section and a lower “Griffon” main body, which can split apart during battle for a dramatic two-part attack strategy. The rules around this separation are important to understand: the upper Bullet part is considered an additional piece of the Beyblade. Therefore, even if Bullet stops spinning or is knocked out, the lower Griffon section — and the BulletGriffon combo as a whole — is still in play. Conversely, if Griffon Bursts, is knocked out, or stops spinning, the BulletGriffon combo loses.

From a competitive standpoint, the results from the broader community are striking. The Bullet Griffon Ratchet-Integrated Blade alone when assembled weighs in at over 60 grams, which is significantly heavier than almost all other possible combinations at release — especially those commonly seen in tournaments. With a Bit attached, it becomes the heaviest Beyblade in the game.

The upper Bullet section focuses on attack with jagged contact points, while the lower Griffon section maintains defense with its rounded perimeter, creating unpredictable battles. Equipped with the Hexa (H) Bit, this Beyblade uses a hexagonal tip designed to stabilise itself during rotation while enabling fast Xtreme Dash movements. The result is a dynamic balance between attack bursts and controlled endurance.

The honest trade-off: the primary drawbacks are the increased randomness inherent to the separation mechanic, and concerns regarding durability — reports of breakage surfaced shortly after release, particularly involving exposed plastic components that become vulnerable after separation. Despite this, Bullet Griffon remains one of the most memorable and recommendable Beyblade X releases to date, offering a rare combination of originality, performance, and fun.

For the North American market, the Beyblade X Rocket Griffon H UX Infinity Starter Pack Set gets one competitor everything they need to start except the Beystadium. UX Infinity Tops include hidden features that can shift the battle in your favour, including a blade that splits in two, with one blade to attack and the other blade to defend.

Featured Product: CX-13 Bahamut Blitz BK1-50I — The Dragon That Hits Like a Freight Train

The second top in our HKTOYCAR hands-on is a very different proposition: a single-minded, hyper-aggressive attack specialist.

CX-13 Starter Bahamut Blitz BK1-50I is a right-spinning attack-type Custom Line (CX) Beyblade X top featuring an Expand Blade enabling deeper customisation. As a starter set it also includes a Winder Launcher. It introduces all-new parts from top to bottom: the Bahamut Lock Chip, Blitz Metal Blade, Break Over Blade, Knuckle Assist Blade, 1-50 Ratchet, and Ignition Bit.

As part of the Expand Blade sub-system within the CX Line, the Beyblade features a blade composed of four distinct components — Lock Chip, Metal Blade, Over Blade, and Assist Blade — which allows for expanded customisation.

What makes CX-13 special is how all these parts work in concert. The design emphasises concentrated impact, focusing weight and contact points into a single area on each of its wings, intending to deliver powerful strikes. It combines a low centre of gravity with high-speed mobility, and features a Bit designed for strong stadium grip.

In terms of standout components: the Blitz Metal Blade combines high weight with potent but matchup-dependent attack and defensive capabilities; the 1-50 Ratchet is a highly competitive low-height ratchet with broad utility; and the Ignition Bit is an extraordinarily aggressive but niche attack Bit capable of delivering devastating knockouts in the right hands.

The honest competitive verdict from BeyBase: Bahamut Blitz BK1-50I is an innovative and highly entertaining attack-oriented release that rewards experimentation. It may not redefine the competitive meta, but it contains enough valuable and distinctive parts to make it a worthwhile purchase for both serious players and fans of aggressive Beyblade design. If you want a top that punishes hesitation and rewards aggressive launching technique, CX-13 is your answer.

Featured Product: BX-32 Wide Xtreme Stadium — Multiplayer Madness

The third piece of our HKTOYCAR package is the arena that makes multiplayer genuinely strategic rather than just chaotic.

The BX-32 Wide Xtreme Stadium from Takara Tomy was released on July 13, 2024 and is designed for up to three players, supporting the X-Dash super-acceleration gimmick for high-speed, high-impact battles.

With a wide rectangular design and “X Lines” technology, this stadium activates the Xtreme Dash gimmick, featuring two “Xtreme Zones” and a central “Over Zone” for strategic scoring. The wider footprint means tops have more room to build momentum before collisions, and the presence of a third player fundamentally changes the meta: alliances form and dissolve within a single battle, tops can accidentally assist their owner by deflecting an opponent’s attack, and the first-to-4-points format creates genuine drama across every round.

This stadium is designed for fun gameplay, offering a unique experience compared to the regular Xtreme Stadium — it’s best suited for those seeking enjoyable variations rather than pure competitive play, unless you’re interested in exploring a 3-player meta. Note that to play with this product, a separately sold Beyblade and Launcher exclusive to the Beyblade X series are required.[8]

How Many Tops Do You Actually Need?

This is the question every new player asks, and the honest answer is: start with two. One starter set gives you everything you need to understand the game, but you cannot battle yourself. Two tops — ideally one Attack type and one Stamina or Defense type — lets you explore the triangle of matchups and gives you a feel for both aggressive and patient playstyles.

For those moving into competitive play, the standard tournament format is 3-on-3, where each player brings three tops and substitutes between rounds. At that stage, having five to six tops across different types gives you meaningful flexibility. Bladers will battle using Beyblade X tops, putting their customisation and strategy skills to the test as they compete their way through the tournament.

Buying Smart: Tips Before You Spend

Given the current demand climate — where popular releases sell out within hours of launch — a few strategic habits will serve you well. Pre-ordering through trusted retailers the moment a new wave is announced is essential; waiting for shelf stock on high-demand UX and CX releases is often a losing game. Starter sets remain the best value entry point, as they include a launcher and provide everything needed to play immediately. Investing in a quality string launcher early pays dividends across all your tops — launch consistency matters more than most beginners expect.

Most importantly: the top is only half the equation. How you launch — the angle, the force, the timing — determines whether a great top reaches its potential. Spend time practising your launch before obsessing over which parts to buy next.

Whether you’re in it for the nostalgia, the competition, or the genuine engineering satisfaction of building a winning combination, there has never been a better moment to join the BEYBLADE X world. 3-2-1 — Let It Rip.
