「日本夏祭 2026」由 6 月 19 日至 28 日於香港啟德 AIRSIDE Plaza 露天廣場舉行，兩部以《新世紀福音戰士賽車（EVAR／Evangelion Racing）》拉花的 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec R34 真車，在港作出全球首度公開展示。

今次展出的兩部戰車全名為 EVA RT TEST TYPE-01 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec（R34）1999（紫色初號機）及 EVA RT PRODUCTION MODEL-02 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec（R34）1999（紅色二號機），由香港車隊 Pluto Racing Project（PRP-Z）帶來。場內 EVAR Pop-up Store同步發售 Greenlight Collectibles 全球首發 R34 模型車兩款，當中一箱中有一部電鍍Chase Car，以及香港限定「EVA RT TEST TYPE-01 Dodge Challenger」模型；週末大型市集約 80 個單位雲集動漫、玩具、手作攤位，另設爆旋陀螺 AIRSIDE 爭霸賽及 Pokémon 卡牌競技大賽，冠軍均設限量獎品。

World Premiere: EVAR Evangelion Racing R34 Unit-01 & Unit-02 Touch Down at Airside Kowloon Bay — “Japan Summer Festival 2026” Free Entry, 10 Days Only

Japan Summer Festival 2026 runs from June 19 to 28 at Airside Plaza open-air forecourt in Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong, jointly organised by Manga Market, Kidult N Kiddo, and the Hong Kong Cultural and Creative Industries Research Institute. The undisputed centrepiece: two full-scale, Evangelion Racing (EVAR)-themed Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec R34 race cars — a purple Unit-01 and a red Unit-02 — making their global physical public debut. For anyone searching for the most unexpected photo spot in Kowloon Bay this summer, this is it.

EVAR (Evangelion Racing / エヴァンゲリオンレーシング) was founded on April 15, 2010 by Japan’s Run’a Entertainment, fielding cars in real-world competitions including SUPER GT and the Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race. The two cars on display carry the full designations EVA RT TEST TYPE-01 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec (R34) 1999 and EVA RT PRODUCTION MODEL-02 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec (R34) 1999, brought to Hong Kong by local racing outfit Pluto Racing Project (PRP-Z). Both drivers will be present on weekends: Jason Mok (2025 HKAA Hong Kong Touring Car Championship winner) and Trefer Ting (2025 Fuji-1GP Summer Round S-NA runner-up), giving fans a rare chance to meet the actual EVAR pilots in the flesh. On the retail side, the on-site EVAR Pop-up Store will carry two Greenlight Collectibles R34 die-cast models in their global first release — each with a chrome hidden variant — alongside the Hong Kong-exclusive EVA RT TEST TYPE-01 Dodge Challenger model. Beyond the cars, a weekend market spanning roughly 80 stalls across the plaza and levels 3–4 covers anime, toys, handmade goods, and Japanese street food. Competitive events include the Beyblade Airside Championship on June 26 (with World Championship runner-up Ho Ka-lok as star judge) and the Pokémon Trading Card Game Tournament on June 27, both with limited-edition prizes.

Admission is free throughout, but the Greenlight chrome hidden variants are strictly first-come, first-served. Get there early on weekends to catch both R34s and their drivers in one go — this is genuinely a once-in-Hong Kong moment.
