我對Ford Mustang的印象仍然是肌肉車，然而2021年時Ford就推出被喻為Tesla Model Y Performance對手的Mustang Mach-E GT。可惜沒有右軚版本，與本港車迷緣慳一面。

用上Mustang這個家傳戶曉的名字，儘管不是集團第一輛電車，但Mustang Mach-E肩負品牌電氣化的重任。GT版配備雙發動機全輪驅動，總輸出480馬力，扭力814Nm，0至100km/h加速僅需3.8秒。廠方當年用Porsche Macan Turbo作比較，GT Performance Edition更對標保時捷911 GTS。至於91kWh鋰電池續航力約434公里，採用150kW CCS2直流快充規格，可於45分鐘內完成10至80％的快速充電。

外觀方面，Mustang Mach-E GT擁有Mustang家族特有的長引擎蓋和肌肉感十足的車身線條，傳統門把也變成發光按鈕連小手把。車內有15.5寸垂直觸控屏幕和12.3寸數字儀表板，配備SYNC 4A信息娛樂系統。GT版本還標配Brembo剎車系統和MagneRide自適應避震，提供更運動化的駕駛體驗。

GCD推出這款Ford Mustang Mach-E GT出乎市場預期，而這款塗裝設計亦確實存在。2021年Ford為了向Women Airforce Service Pilots致敬，推出了僅此一部、以二戰中女機師駕駛戰機為靈感的限定版Mustang Mach-E GT，於2021 Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture air show中拍賣，所得將支持EAA促進女性飛行的計畫。因此Ford這台車除了類似B-29轟炸機的配色外，更有美國空軍圖案、38字樣以紀念陣亡的38位女性飛行員，車內亦有相應設計。不過GCD這款Ford Mustang Mach-E GT只保留了塗裝，其他細節則被略去，連同輪圈亦更換為不同版本。就造工而言，前後塑料件和燈組完整，但尾燈遭塗黑，難以一眼認出Mustang的招牌尾燈，車底則有電池組浮雕。Ford Mustang Mach-E GT還有警車塗裝版本，未知GCD是否會推出。

Electric Muscle Car – GCD Ford Mustang Mach-E GT

While my impression of the Ford Mustang remains that of a muscle car, Ford surprised many in 2021 by introducing the Mustang Mach-E GT, positioned as a rival to the Tesla Model Y Performance. Unfortunately, the absence of a right-hand drive version has kept it out of reach for Hong Kong car enthusiasts.

Utilizing the iconic Mustang name, the Mach-E GT, though not the company’s first electric vehicle, carries the torch for the brand’s electrification efforts. The GT version boasts dual-motor all-wheel drive, producing a total output of 480 horsepower and 814 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds. Ford benchmarked it against the Porsche Macan Turbo, with the GT Performance Edition even targeting the Porsche 911 GTS. The 91kWh lithium-ion battery offers a range of about 434 kilometers. Using a 150kW CCS2 DC fast charging system, it can charge from 10% to 80% in 45 minutes.

Design-wise, the Mustang Mach-E GT features the Mustang family’s signature long hood and muscular body lines. Traditional door handles have been replaced with illuminated buttons and small grips. Inside, you’ll find a 15.5-inch vertical touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, equipped with the SYNC 4A infotainment system. The GT version also comes standard with a Brembo brake system and MagneRide adaptive suspension, enhancing the sporty driving experience.

GCD’s release of this Ford Mustang Mach-E GT model was unexpected, and its livery design is based on a real-world special edition. In 2021, Ford created a one-of-a-kind limited edition Mustang Mach-E GT inspired by the Women Airforce Service Pilots of World War II. This unique vehicle was auctioned at the 2021 Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) AirVenture air show, with proceeds supporting EAA’s programs to encourage women in aviation. The special edition featured a color scheme reminiscent of B-29 bombers, U.S. Air Force insignia, and the number 38 to commemorate the 38 women pilots who lost their lives in service.

GCD’s version of the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT retains only the livery, omitting other details and featuring different wheels. In terms of craftsmanship, the front and rear plastic parts and light assemblies are intact, though the taillights are blacked out, making it harder to recognize the signature Mustang rear lights at a glance. The underside features a battery pack relief. Ford also offers a police livery version of the Mustang Mach-E GT, and it remains to be seen whether GCD will release this variant as well.
